Record-Breaking Performances by Series Runners
The coordinator of the series wishes to note the following record
breaking performances by runners who completed two or more series
races this year: |
|
John Ehntholt - BPAC Open & Masters
Record
Ehntholt, age 43 from Glens Falls, won the BPAC 6 Hour Distance Classic
with 47.23 miles, breaking Todd Baum's 2008 record by 1.73 miles.
He was also the repeat winner of the Can Lake 50K, making him the only
man to win two series races overall this year.
|
Elizabeth Hurdman - Can Lake 50 Win &
Veterans Record
Hurdman, age 52 from Toronto, ON, was the first woman
overall in the Can Lake 50, joining the relatively elite group of women
over 50 who have won an ultra. Her Veterans record of 8:54:48 for 50 miles
was almost three hours faster than the prior mark.
|
|
John Kruse - Mendon Trail Runs Veterans Record
Kruse, age 55 from Newark, DE, smashed the Veteran's record at the
Mendon Trail Runs 50K. He finished 2nd overall in 4:41:38, almost

faster than he ran last year. |
Ed Housel - GLER 50K Veterans
