Race: Finger Lakes Fifties (50K and 50 miles) on July 4th.

 | Ed Housel wins Niagara 50K by 8 seconds
On June 20th, Housel won a very wet Niagara 50K in 3:49:00. David
Dysert (Detroit, MI) was closing but fell short by 8 seconds. This
was Housel's second career ultra win and first win as a Veteran (age 50+).
Canadian Laurie McGrath was the top woman, finishing 9th overall in
4:11:44. Note: The Niagara 50K is a non-scoring race. Click

Christopher Moore (4:25:33) / Nancy Kleinrock (5:24:48)
Open winner Christopher Moore led five men under 5 hours. Ed Housel
(a veteran in both age and experience) placed a close second in 4:31:37.
Andrew Starowicz was second Open man in 4:47:26 followed by John Nesterick,
first Masters in 4:51:47 and John Hoosock, third Open man in 4:58:47.
Nancy Kleinrock topped a strong field of six Masters Women, finishing
first in 5:24:48. Theresa Palmieri was also under six hours with a
fine 5:47:43 for second, followed by Barbara Gorka in 6:11:56.

John Ehntholt (47.23 miles!) Tamara Loos (38.32 miles)
John Ehntholt set a new Open &
Masters record for the Amherst
course. Veteran Ed Housel finished second with a personal best 44.6
miles. John Hoosock finished third overall and first Open runner
with 41.8 miles, closely followed by David Ward with 41.42 miles for
fourth overall and second in the Masters age group.
The top three women was all Masters runners: Tamara Loos won,
followed by Lorrie Tilly, Kimberly Rapp and in fourth, Veteran Elizabeth
Hurdman, all with 35.75 miles. Christine Reynolds was the first Open
